Barbara Townsend Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2026, at the age of 92, Barbara Townsend (Greenville, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hittle and Vergia Hittle (Schultz); and her husband James M. Townsend. She is survived by: her children, Linda Nichols (Dan) of Muskegon, MI, Steven M. Townsend (Karen) of Greenville and Michael R. Townsend (Linda Posvistak) of Muskegon, MI; and her grandchildren, Brian Nichols (Julie Lovelady), Kent Nichols, Kevin Nichols, Joshua Townsend (Aimee), Ashlae Belisle, Chelsea Townsend, William Townsend and Rebekah Townsend. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Greenville Union Cemetery (200 West St, Greenville, OH 45331).
