He was predeceased by: his parents, Creele Estel Arthur and Susannah Sell (Lavy); his wife Cynthia Mae Sell (Ainsworth); his daughter-in-law Tammy Sell, Jr. (King); his siblings, Lee Sell, Ruby Wagner, Lester Sell, Calvin Sell, Martha Emrick and Edith Howell; and his foster sister Geraldine "Gerry" Hodge.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie (Scott West) and Barbara (Laryl Cortner); his grandchildren, Kyle West, Kristen and Ryan Marchal; his great grandchildren, Nolan West, Isaac West, Jude Marchal and Josephine Marchal; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ayden Marchal and Lucy Marchal; his brother Glen; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Sell of Bradford and Robin Hodge of New York. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Greenville Township Memorial Garden (8677 OH-118, Greenville, OH 45331).
