He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram R. Rhoades and Mary M. Rhoades (Cline); his wife Margaret Rhoades (Walton); his children, Michael Rhoades and Annette Rhoades Durden; his siblings, Ralph Rhoades, Mary Jean, Norval Brigner, Royce, Jeanette Rhoades, Norman Rhoades, Marvin Rhoades, Marlene Rhoades and Carlton Rhoades; and his brother-in-law Jack Cummings.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Deborah Rhoades; his grandchildren, Amanda Jo, Alyssa Joy and Alphonso James; his great grandchildren, Isabel, Isaiah and Zane Michael; his brother Donald; his sister-in-law Judy Rhoades; his sister Ilene Cummings; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Rhoades and Rosemary Rhoades. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at the Lisbon Cemetery (5313 N 800 E, Union City, IN 47390).
