He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Tackett and Maude Caudill; and his sons, Elmer Tackett (Lillian Arrand), Milton Tackett, Ernest Tackett (Helen Jessee), DeForest Tackett, Bill Tackett and Don Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Jones Tackett; his children, Russell Tackett (Jeneen) and Jennifer McClain (Aron); and his grandchildren, Megan Mahoy (Steven), Brandon Tackett (Kathryn), Alex McClain, Jessica McClain, Sam Tackett, Ben McClain (Chelsey), Katherine Tackett and Grace McClain.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens (11890 N Dixie Dr, Tipp City, OH 45371).
