He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Smith and Madson Smith (Johnny); his in-laws, Dorothy and Loyal Wilbanks; his granddaughter Genevieve Alice (Gigi); and his siblings, Timothy and Deborah.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Jason (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Brighton, Kenzington, Cooper, Phineas and Zoe.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spence-Miller Funeral Home (2697 Columbus St, Grove City, OH 43123). A masonic service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to organizations that support and aid not only our communities and veterans, but to make the world around us a better place than we found it.
