He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, Owen Simmons and Madaline Simmons (Roberts); his brother Dick Simmons; and his brother-in-law George Alvoid.
He is survived by: his sons, Doug Simmons (Jodie) and Drew Simmons (Angie); his grandchildren, Kennedy and Keaton; his sister Marilyn Alvoid; and his sister-in-law Verna Simmons. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
