He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn; his parents, Russell Hancock and Mattie Hancock; and his siblings, Herman Hancock, Madeline Truax, Hilda Tharpe and William Hancock.
He is survived by: his children, John Jr. Hancock (Brenda), James Hancock and Marcia Marcum (Vernon); his grandchildren, Heather, Katie, Christina, John Allen, Faith, Anthony Clark, Jacob and Cody; and his sister Marlene Glidden. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
