He is survived by: his mother Nancy Gaines (Williams); his stepfather Milton Gaines; his father Lloyd Wallace; his partner Jason Piper of Grove City; his brothers, Lewis McCoy (Andrus) of Springfield, Ohio, Theophilous "Theo" McCoy of Urbana, Ohio and Nick Vanhoose (Tricia) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his nieces and nephews, Troy Lipker, Julian McCoy, Kanyla McCoy, Braelynn McCoy and Carmiyah McCoy; his aunt Teresa Mitchell; his uncle George Wallace; his cousins, Monique Smith, Michael Smith, Kylah Smith, Mallory Dover, Sandy Dover, Natasha Wright, Loretta Campbell, Rhaivyn Porter-Gaines and Mark Lytle Jr.; his godmother Penni Ross; his close friends, Tywan West, Tanasha Evans, Darryl Palmer and Janet Howard; Jocelyn McCoy of Springfield, Ohio.. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
During the pandemic, he worked at the Mueller Center, dedicating countless hours to caring for individuals with disabilities.
