He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Truax and Bessie Parks Truax; and his nephews, John and Todd Truax. He is survived by: his children, Steve Truax (Tracy) of Fishers, Mike Truax (Cherri) of Greenville and Sherry Andrews (CJ) of Grove City; his brothers, Roger Truax (Penny) of Marietta and Melvin Truax (Sue) of St. Mary's; and his former wife Carol Dawn (Freitag) of Woodsfield. He is also survived by 8 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
