She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Tyson and Lillian Tyson (Clemmons); her husband Charles R. Basel; her son Richard (Margaret); and her siblings, John Tyson, Vondale Sherman, Fern Whitacre and Cecile Whitacre.
She is survived by: her children, David Basel (Christine), Mary Jane Jolibois (Andris) and Robert Basel (Karen); her grandchildren, Jenny Peterson (Rory), Megan Basel, Paul Basel, Melissa Delahunty (Ian), Peter Basel, John Basel and Stephen Basel; and her great grandchildren, Andrew, Ethan, Eliana, Levi, Lillian, Caden and Harper.
