He was predeceased by: his parents, Barb Boylan and Jim Boylan; and his brothers, Mark and Timothy. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his aunt Jean Boylan (Linda Boylan); his children, Tanya Boylan, Patrick Boylan (Oy) and Kathryn Carlin (Kevin); his grandchildren, Ashely, Anabele and Garrett; his siblings, Gary, Peg and Matt; and his nieces, Maria, Christine and Paige.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, where he enjoyed spendings many hours bird watching, or your local library, where he enjoyed Science Fiction novels.
