He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence T. Brigner and Margaret E. Brigner (Jinks); his wife Darlene Mae Brigner (Brumfield); and his siblings, Rowena Stange (Brigner), Barbara Carlisle (Brigner), Marvin Brigner, Lawrence Brigner and Lloyd Brigner.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Tippy, Merrilie, Wanda, Darletta, Dustee, Andy, Ron and Mark; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Brigner and Darlene Brigner.
