We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 88, Ernest Ray Cyrus of Groveport, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ernest departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ernest may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ernest leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Cyrus and Ruth Cyrus (Stafford); and his son Mark Cyrus. He is survived by: his significant other Diann Cyrus (Thornton); and his daughter Sherry Burroughs (Jason). He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home (587 Main St, Groveport, OH 43125). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Memorial Park (2240 US-60, Milton, WV 25541).
