He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Durst and Elva Durst; his daughter Ariane Parsons; his granddaughter Breeanna Gatwood; and his father-in-law Robert Parsons Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Durst; his children, Heather Lamb, Michelle Cline (Jeremy), John III, Jackson (Kayli) and Jayden; his grandchildren, Codie (Caitlin), Courtney (Gabe), Hailee (Jake), Emilee, Camran and Hannah; his great grandchildren, Corbin, Caroline, Corie, Jordan, Layla, Taylor and Lacy; his mother-in-law Rosemary Parsons; his aunts, Hazel Brummond and Jackie Sizemore; and his siblings, James Durst, Don Durst, Glenvor Durst (Pam), Marvin Durst (Melanie), Marsha McClure, Bonnie Durst and Carolyn Humphreys (Rob).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A prayer was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the South Chapel (1346 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Baden Presbyterian Church (5149 Evans Rd, Leon, WV 25123).
