He was predeceased by: his parents, Ishmal Risner and Thelma Jean Risner (Auxier); and his brother Richard Risner. He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Risner, Jr. of Defiance, Monty Risner of Oakwood and Cory Joe Hall; and his siblings, Wayne Risner (Kathy) of Cloverdale, James Risner of Bryan, Donald Risner of Dupont, Mary Hall of Continental and Marty Risner of Continental. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a lot of friends.
