He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Howard and Zelda VanMeter Howard; his parents-in-law, Virgil and Donna Baker; his sister Becky Meeks; his brother-in-law Kenney Bell; his niece Jill Lallier; and his nephew Bryan Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Baker Howard; his children, Hayley Johnson (Troy) of Gallipolis and Roger L. Howard II of Guysville; his grandchildren, Abigail Johnson, Brooke Daniels (Kameron) and Trent Johnson; his siblings, Janet Bell of Guysville and Richard Howard (Nancy) of Guysville; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Baker (Beth) of London and Greg Meeks of Shade. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
