She was predeceased by: her father Al "Buzz" Chafin Jr.; and her husband Thomas E. DeMonge. She is survived by: her mother Donna Chafin (McWhorter); her daughter Jessica Combs (Eric); her grandchildren, Jaden Parks and Roscoe Combs; her brother Brian Chafin (Lyddia); and her nephews, Casey, Colin and Caleb Chafin.
