He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Burton Gill and Corda Pearl Seeley Gill; and his siblings, Morgan Gill, Lida Lincks, Kathleen Gill, Lucy Brockman, Inez Grubb, Anna Lee Gill and Jerry Lyndon Gill.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gill (Johnson); his children, James A. Gill (Kathleen), Jerry W. Gill (Tara) and Sheila A. Unthank (Jack); and his grandchildren, James Michael Gill, Brooke Gill, Rachelle Gill (Brian), Jerry W. Gill II (Missy), Steven Gill (Meghan), Anastasia, Sampson Unthank (Misty), Shastina Donnelly (Mark), Stephanie Hanson (Kacey) of Sean, C. A. and Seth Unthank (Shavat). He is also survived by his 30 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
