She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Walton Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Walton (Oglesby); her husband Robert Abney; and her siblings, Louise Walton, Iva Dean Brown and Thurman Walton, Jr..
She is survived by: her sisters, Scottye Hall and Carol Ann Louden. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
