She was predeceased by: her parents, George Riley Burris and Ella Burris (Dempsey); her husband James F. Freeman Jr.; her son James Freeman III; her brother George Burris Jr.; and her friends, Bo and Mary Lansing.
She is survived by: her daughter Ellie Watkins (Bryan); her daughter-in-law Robbi-Ann Freeman; her grandchildren, Lisa-Ann Fontanetta (Mike), James Freeman IV (Sarah) and Bradley Watkins (Erin); her great grandchildren, Pace, John, Elle, Piper, Olivia and Scarlett; her sister Joyce Jerow (James); and her nephew Lawrenceburg. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Hamilton Community Foundation c/o Friends of 17 Strong.
