She was predeceased by: her mother Laurel Alwood (Farrell); her significant other Roy Ratliff (Ed); her brothers, John Virgil Alwood III, Howard Alwood and William Alwood; and her half-siblings, Allan Alwood and Cheri Hatfield.

She is survived by: her father John Virgil Alwood; her children, Charles Poe (Michelle) and Sherry Lachtrupp (Tom); her grandchildren, Krista Nichols, Adrianna Mahlerwein and Lorelei Poe; her half-sister Mary Zalipski (Jim); and her aunt Marie Strain. She is also survived by her father's sister); and several cousins.
