He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Larkin Sr. and Mildred Baumann Larkin; his daughter Lisa Gonya; his son-in-law Matthew Kuhlman; his siblings, Mary Lou, Sissy, Nancy (Ken), Micki and Jack; his in-laws, Eps, Mildred, Bob, Audrey, Rog and Joan; and his nephew Dave Frazier.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Larkin; his son-in-law Tim Gonya; his children, Michael Larkin (Leanna), Nan Kuhlman, Edward Larkin (Amy), Kelly Woodward (Jeff), Ryan Larkin (Lily) and Kari Espel (Patrick); his brother Jim Larkin; and his in-laws, Gail Larkin and Mike Capella. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
