She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Schuler and Catherine Schuler (Meder); her children, Karen Jester, Kathleen Marchant and Thomas; and her grandson Andrew Jester.
She is survived by: her husband John E. Straub; her daughter Mary Soloway (Ted); her son-in-law Jim Jester; her grandchildren, Jeff Marchant (Danielle), Scott Marchant, Sarah Orr (Laurence), Tom Jester, Rob Jester (Jade), Ryan Jester and Matt Soloway (Megan); her great grandchildren, Ben, Max Marchant, Alexander Orr and Noah Jester; and her nephew Chris Carter.
