She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Lucinda Oditt; her husband Charles Virgil Joseph Sr.; and her siblings, Earl, Lafayette, Carlos, James, Sam Oditt, Virginia King, Stella Perkins and Lura DeBorde.

She is survived by: her children, Wilma Mounce, Charles V. Joseph, Robert S. Joseph and Theresa Kirby; and her pet Lucy. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and her companion.
