He was predeceased by: his wife Eunice; and his son-in-law Chris James. He is survived by: his daughters, Lois Faye Harkins (Bob) and Helen James; his brothers, Burlie and Russell Owens; and his grandchildren, Debra Hensel (Steve), Robert Harkins (Mary), Kristina Arthur (Micah) and Jason James (Tonya). He is also survived by five great- grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home (2565 Princeton Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Ernest's name may be made to either the benevolent fund or the youth program at The Well Bible Church, 1190 Stahlheber Rd.
