With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernest Shackleford of Hamilton, Ohio, born in London, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ernest may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ernest touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Katherine Shackleford (Reams); and his son Michael Shackleford. He is survived by: his wife Clora Shackleford; his son Mark Shackleford; his grandchildren, Samantha Conrad, Katie and Michael Shackleford; and his great grandchild Damien. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Charles C. Young Funeral Home (4032 Hamilton Cleves Rd, Ross, OH 45061). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
