She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Rogers and Shelby Rogers; her husband Everett McWhorter; her son Shelby Everett McWhorter; and her siblings, Ona Dees, Claude Rogers and Clyde Rogers.
She is survived by : her children, Mary Teresa Bowman (Michael), Alan McWhorter and Brian L. McWhorter. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
