He was predeceased by: his parents, Salomon Chavez Franco and Alejandrina Bailon of Chavez. He is survived by: his wife Angelica Aguilar De Chavez; his children, Carlos Chavez, Cesar Chavez, Rafael Chavez, Jose Chavez, Janett Costas and Jorge Chavez; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Erick, Samir, Adam, Daisy, Jamilett, Leslie, Christopher, Rafael Jr., Nicholas Jr. and Anthony. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
