He was predeceased by: his father Earsel Cheek (Jim); his sister Rita Smith; and his grandson Axel Smith. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Cheek; his wife Sandra Cheek; his children, Adam Smith, Elijah Cheek, Shiann Cheek, Avery Cheek, Bella Cheek, Kyra Chapman and Malique Farthing; his grandchildren, Danielle Hensley-Spicer (Colin), Kendra Smith, Jerrick Holland (Katie) and Gunner Smith; his great grandchild Hunter Hart; and his siblings, Donald Cheek (Donna) and Teresa Roberts (Todd). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
