He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Pate and LaVerne Pate; his wife Hilda Pate; and his siblings, Marion "Peegee" and Marie Pate.
He is survived by : his sons, Scott Pate (Julie), Thomas Pate (Melissa) and Adam Pate (Deana); his grandchildren, Michael (Sophia), Elizabeth, Joshua, Abigail and Matthew Pate; and his brother Joseph Pate (Annette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
