He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hoffman Nicol and Lilly; and his sister Chrissy Hardebeck (Neil). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nicol; his daughters, Laura Whyle-Fusting (Alexander) and Suzanna Nicol (Zachary Jordan); his grandchildren, Esther, Alexander, Zelda and Oswald; his niece Cassandra Brown (Tom); and his stepchildren, Steven Scherra (Laura), Lora Christy, Lisa Scherra and Linda Duckworth. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
