He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Braun and Erma Braun; his brothers, Jerry and Robert Braun; and his wife Marjorie Braun.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Braun (Dale) and Sharon Benzing (Bob); his grandchildren, Erin Strunk (Steve), Andrew Braun, Joshua Braun, Mark Braun (Kelly) and Joseph Braun (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Katie, Libby, Allie, Steven, Corbin, Charlie, McKenna, Isaac, Maggie, Murdoch, Ryan and Layneand Fleetwood; and his aunt Bettie Braun. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law.
