He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Franz and Sue Tolliver Franz; and his brother Bruce Franz. He is survived by: his wife Che Wai "Mandy" Franz; his children, Michele Whitehill (Chris) and Scott Franz (Mequel); his stepson Adam Lee (Kelly Ho); his grandchildren, Sara Gray, Christopher Whitehill, Jr., Joshua Whitehill (Morgan), Adeline Franz, Mathias Franz, Cruz Lee and Cynthia Lee; his great grandchildren, Noah Gray and Claire Whitehill; his brother Lowell Franz; and his sister-in-law Mary K. Franz. He is also survived by niece, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Butler County Memorial Park (4570 Trenton Oxford Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011).
