He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schermer and Florence Schermer (Uecker); his wife Barbara C. Suppe; and his sisters, Donna Thomas and Brenda Randolph.
He is survived by: his sons, Chris Schermer (Amber), Matt Schermer (Erika) and Patrick Schermer (Tiffany); and his grandchildren, Brady, Cora, Dax, Taylor, Avery, Braelynne and Mia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society/Blood Cancer United.
