He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Paul and Emma Rhoten (Germann); his siblings, George, Charles Rhoten and Marilyn Martin; and his sister-in-law Shirley Rhoten.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rhoten; his children, Roy Michael Rhoten (Lisa), Marilyn Jo Winters (late Patrick) and Anthony Alan Rhoten; his stepson James Clinton Lynn, Jr. (Daphne); his grandchildren, Alex, Sam, Julie Winters, Brandon, Natasha Rhoten, Barbara Thomas and Victoria Evans; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Brody, Serenity, Maci, Joe, Adrienne and Owen; his siblings, Larry Rhoten, Shirley Koewler (William), Patricia Schell (Robert) and Janie Klinker (Richard); and his sister-in-law Connie Rhoten. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Queen of Peace Church.
