Ruth E. Oakes Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth E. Oakes (Hamilton, Ohio), who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Day and Roberta Day (Elliot); her husband Charles E. Oakes; her son Douglas Oakes; and her siblings, Joan Winkler, Eadie Spivey and Billie Phelps.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Oakes (Sandy), Chuck Oakes (Carolyn), Becky Plessinger (Gary) and Cindy Dunn (Tom); her grandchildren, Tiffany, John Randall, Danny, Josh, Jessie and Sarah; and her great grandchildren, Ryder, Jenna, Parker, Tucker, Tanner, Joshua, Maddi, Logan, Easton, Eden, Grace, Cason, Tate and Abby. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cumberland.
