He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Best Sr. and Mary Lou Best (Greene); his brothers, Roger Carroll and Earl Best Jr.; and his niece April Best.

He is survived by: his wife Karriel Best; his son Hayden Wood; and his siblings, Gloria "Bee" Best, Becky Paxton, Sheila Hisey, Doug Best and Ernie Carroll. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
