She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Benzing and Marcella Benzing; her sister Marjorie Newton; and her spouse Thomas Demoret. She is survived by: her children, Melanie Hand of Jacksonville Beach, Valarie Demoret of Hamilton and Criston Demoret (Karen) of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Heather Mandeville (Craig), Ryan, Justin Hand, Megan Demoret and Olivia Demoret; her great grandchildren, Kenley, Reagan and Skyler Mandeville; her nephew Randy Newton (Lynn); and her niece Sherri Peters.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donation be made in Joy's name to The Presbyterian Church or Animal Friends Humane Society.
