He is survived by: his wife Linda Stidham-Proffitt; his children, Tonja Ernst (Greg), Sonja Roberts (Kenny) and Melissa Hughes (Jim O'Neal); his grandchildren, Sheri Arents (Danny), Brandon Cox (Jessica), Amber Walter (Aaron), Justin Proffitt, Devin Traylor (Taylor) and Jacob Roberts; his siblings, Earnie Proffitt (Sheila), Judy Shoemaker and Rick Proffitt (Dolly); and his sisters-in-law, Joanne Stidham and Jennell Proffitt. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
