She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Joseph and Barbara Oyer (Montgomery); her brother Mike Oyer; and her father-in-law Tom Nelson. She is survived by : her husband Robert Eugene Nelson; her sons, Matthew Nelson (Ashley) and Jacob Nelson; her grandsons, Ethan and Cooper; her brothers, Edward Joseph "EJ" Oyer (Barb), William Oyer and Paul Oyer; her mother-in-law Barb Huffmann Nelson; and her siblings-in-law, Tonia Beevis, Tommy Nelson (Lori), Maryann Tighe (Mike), Kelly Standriff (Michelle) and Ryan Standriff. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the P.A.W.S of Dearborn County in Barb's memory.
