She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Walker and Selma Walker; her husband Melvin "Gary" Hopkins; her daughter Jodie Thomas; her sisters, Peggy Fowler (Clifford), Dixie Walker and Donna Kay Hollins; her sister-in-law Beverly Walker; her siblings, Connie Hayes (Ken), Tony Walker, Joanna Grubbs, Jerry Walker (Monica) and Susan Lucas (Elmer); and her brother-in-law Lowell Hollins. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
