With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irwin O. Schalk (Harrison, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schalk and Cora Schalk (Niehaus). He is survived by: his wife Romilda Schalk (Siemer); his children, Jean Shankweiler (Gary), Jeffrey Schalk, John Schalk (Robin), Jennifer Stevens, Jill Hollin and Judy Darwish (Rob); his siblings, Barbara Whisman, Walter, Richard, Stanley Schalk, Agnes Roy and Katherine Drake; and his daughter-in-law Virginia Schalk. He is also survived by grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, with assistance from a funeral home representative available to help with these arrangements.
