He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J. Gruber and Rosemary M. Gruber; his brother-in-law Paul Gerken; and his nephew Joseph Gruber (Heidi). He is survived by: his siblings, John Gruber and Mary Jo Gerken; his niece Jeanie Creek (Randall); his nephew Matthew Freeman; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Camden, Carly Creek, Zoey and Leighla Gruber; his close friend Patricia Roth; and also Michael Roth.
