He was predeceased by: his son Michael Rugg; his grandchild Alexis Johnson; his siblings, Regina Lloyd (Junior), Monica Rugg and Gerald Rugg; and his parents, Herbert Rugg and Ethel Rugg.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Rugg; his children, Lori Johnson, Ryan Rugg and Kathy Turner; his grandchildren, Deven Johnson (Hannah), Tiffani Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, Dilian Baker and Andy Rugg; his great grandchildren, Tucker Johnson and Magnolia Johnson; and his brothers, Robert Rugg (Vicki) and Brian Rugg (Sandy). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home (10385 New Haven Rd, Harrison, OH 45030). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
