She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Hafer and Margaret Hafer; her husband Walter "Coke" Powers; her sister Lois Hafer; and her sons, Dan and Jay Powers.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Walker (Amy), Jennifer Morton (Bryan), Todd Powers (Kim) and Mark Powers (Barb); her grandchildren, Ian Morton (Hannah), Andrea Jones (Derek), Matthew Morton, Jason Morton (Ashe), Will Walker (Gabby), Josie Higgins (Tim), Stephanie Magee (Sean), Lee Powers (Amanda) and Erica Minks (Brian); her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sophia Morton, Corban, Beau, Tucker Magee, Madison and Elton Powers; her brothers, Cliff (Jean) and Don Hafer (Pam); her friend Sharon Amburgey; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene Werner and Karen Morrow.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brater Winter Funeral Home (201 S Vine St, Harrison, OH 45030). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. John Catholic Cemetery - Harrison New.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ivy Tech Foundation in memory of Ginny. Those wishing to honor her legacy may bring a check to the funeral home, made payable to Ivy Tech, and the home will notify the family and send the contributions to the charity.
