Pamela K. Baker Obituary

Pamela K. Baker, age 70, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2022. She was born in Canton on January 30, 1952, to Robert and Maxine (Kolb). Black and is a graduate of Lake High School class of 1970. Following high school, she attended Kent State and ultimately graduated from Timken Mercy School of Nursing. She began a 30-year career as an LPN with Aultman Hospital and Akron Children's Hospital. Thanks to a blind date in December of 1977, she met her husband, Robert, who she spent almost 44 years with. Pam adored the holiday traditions, whether it be decorating cookies, or the entire house, she loved all aspects of them. She was unashamed of her passion for supporting her children and grandchildren, cheering loudly from the stands at all events. Pam could also be found outside in her garden for hours at a time tending to her various plants and flowers.

Pam is preceded in death by her son Bobby; her parents; and her niece Jennifer. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children Alison (Scott) Porter and Aaron (Stacey) Baker; grandchildren Nathaniel and Jenna Porter and Macauley, Lachlan, Oliver, Elias, Ezra, and Ari Baker; siblings Judi McMillan and Robert (Kathy) Black.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 24 from 4-6 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville at 504 West Maple Street. Funeral services will begin at 6 PM with her son Aaron Baker officiating.
