He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Asmus and Lavina Asmus (Hagen); and his brothers, Robert and Dean. He is survived by: his daughters, Heidi Smithey (Jim), Andrea Fitzgerald (Joey) and Connie Van Arnam (Rick); his grandchildren, Curtis Smithey (Ashley), Kyle Smithey, Connor Van Arnam (Nicole) and Elana Van Arnam; his great grandchildren, Liam Smithey and Alexander Van Arnam; and his brothers, Dale and Larry. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cherished extended family.
