He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Morehouse and Elva Middaugh Morehouse; his grandson Seth Spotts; and his siblings, Roselane Draper, Dorothy Harris, Violet Mower, Jane Drenning, Marta Campbell and David.

He is survived by : his wife Gail Franks Morehouse; his children, Richard Morehouse (Janice) of Jeromesville, Ronald Morehouse (Becky) of Nashville, Becky Spotts (Michael) of Jeromesville, Charlotte Kelly (Clint) of Shreve and Alice Milligan (Jim) of Ashland; and his sister Ruth Petry of Tennessee. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
