He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Claude and Evelyn Brownell (Arthur); his wife Shirley Brownell (Workman); his son Jeffrey Michael Brownell; and his siblings, Richard Brownell (Anne), Robert Brownell (Mary), Alice Martin and Mary Brownell.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennie Hall (Wayne); his daughter-in-law Mary Matthews-Brownell; his grandchildren, Kerensa Ann Ecker, Matthew Brownell (Jennifer Anderson), Emme Brownell, Katie Brownell, Steve Hall (Sara) and Brady Hall (Elizabeth); and his great grandchildren, Hanna, Ethan, Morgan, Tiffany, Benjamin and Elijah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
