She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Hinson and Dora Hinson Sr. (Atkins); her husband Richard Scott Bates; and her siblings, Muriel Jetto, Eugene Hinson, Aubrey Hinson, Donald Hinson, Morgan Reid Hinson Jr. and James Martin Hinson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Lynn Bates (Eydie) of Thornville, Kim E. Bates (Sherrie) of Hopewell and Patricia Sue Kryling (Mark) of St. Louisville; her sister Beverly June Miller; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hinson, Sandy Hinson and Cheryl Barton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Southgate Church of Christ (1070 S 30th St, Heath, OH 43056). A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara to the Southgate Church of Christ, 1070 S. 30th St., Heath, OH 43056.
